ASAP and the millennium goals
The Millennium Goals are eight international development goals that in 2000 all 192 United Nations member states have agreed to achieve by the year 2015. They include reducing extreme poverty, reducing child mortality rates, fighting disease epidemics such as AIDS, and developing global partnerships for development.

Dutch policy for development also employs the Millennium Goals, and also ASAP tries to contribute in achieving those goals. Especially goal 1, 2 and 4 receive great attention by ASAP, but also on the other goals is worked a lot.
